Collect a wood block (log) while in a survival world (must be survival) and press “Y” to open your personal inventory. The left side of the inventory screen shows items you can craft. Under the “Construction” tab, use 1 Log to craft 4 Wood Planks. Now go over to the “Items” tab and use the 4 Wood Planks to craft a Crafting Table therefore unlocking the achievement.

The achievements are grouped per update, although if you are somewhat familiar with the game, just hop into the world and do the achievements without the help of a text guide.
