I don't understand the big deal, either, but, I know it is to many people, so, I shared. I actually have not touched a 360 since Achievement Fest. I'm not sure if 360 games being on my X1 will make me any more likely to play them.I don't understand why backwards compatibility is a big deal. It's not like my 360 stopped working, I mostly still play that instead of my Xbox One.Originally Posted by Kaens

so much this. The only benefit I may get is that future GWG 360 titles I don't have might get played a bit, because it is soooo much trouble to swap the TV inputs to play 360. Takes like 2 button presses, on a remote that is only used for swapping TV inputs.I don't understand why backwards compatibility is a big deal. That's the excuse you're going with? A "fake" list. Like the other guys said, if you want to play old games, keep your old console. Gamestop is going to give you $50 in trade or whatever, is that really worth it?Thanks for clearing this up for me. Now it makes much more sense. OTs and fshguys comments seemed to further clarify for me. The initial lack of BC is why I didn't get an One in the first place. And since this list is a hoax anyways, I'm still deterred. But thanks for taking a minute there.Originally Posted by porschephiliac

Well, porsche's reason is his disc drive in his 360 has been dead for a while. So, backwards compatibility is important for that. But, it is happening, and there will be a lot of games supported, and all 360 GwG starting this month will be included (that was announced by MS), and the initial list is announced Monday, so, no real reason to use a fake list as a reason to not buy a console...That's the excuse you're going with? You and I have a different definition of "significant" and "most"I wouldn't call that "significant differences". Most of that "fake" list is on this one. The "differences" are in that there's more titles on this one. No Saint's Row, but whatevs.Originally Posted by Dacoto

Instead of looking primarily at the games, I glance through the publishers. What I see is Microsoft and Sega, then a spattering of things that have been recently GwG sales. MS announced that all future 360 GwG would be backwards compatible, so there's that. I'm not surprised that most publishers don't want to jump on board of the backwards compatibility because it means they can't sell it to us again on this generation or give it to us as freebies/preorder bonus for the next new game (e.g. Rainbow Six).78 of the rumored games are NOT on the official list. A 78% variance would be significant to me. Only 22% actually being included would not be "most" to me.Originally Posted by futiles
Backwards compatibility is not so they can sell new games, it's so your old game work. Being delisted from the marketplace in no way hinders people who bought a games inability to play. You can go get your delisted games right now (like Yaris or Doritos Crash Course 2) by going to your history and re-downloading them. If anything it is FAR easier now because you can see what games are eligible for download on your Xbox One, a feature I WISH existed on the 360 because going through the literally 1000s of items in my history without the ability to search is terrible. Now, to have strange choices to discuss:Originally Posted by Dacoto
Pinball FX - THIS is a completely baffling choice. It's been delisted. Unless they're going to put it back on the marketplace, why? (Side note: I love being one of the few to have completed it)

This is the best thing about RB4. Manage game, install all add-ons available. Check again a week later for new songs ported. At first glance, it didn't look like it was that different. But, as you obviously did a name by name breakdown, yeah that is significant. Also, maths is slightly off as the rumor list is 113 vs the confirmed list of 104.You and I have a different definition of "significant" and "most"Originally Posted by futiles

That's my main thought is publishers like EA want to keep tight control on their properties. Maybe we'll see BC stuff come through the EA Vault someday.Instead of looking primarily at the games, I glance through the publishers. Why would you even need to confirm it? The official list posted earlier in the thread has a source that is the PR Face of Xbox, showing the official list. There is not confirmation needed beyond that. That IS confirmation.before you start b$^#@ing about my replys like always. all im doing is confirming what your sayingOriginally Posted by Myuseru Foaran
